Privacy
SafePlate stores your allergy profile on this device. That includes names, foods, severity and conditions. Those details are health information. They are not sent to an account, and this app does not run a user database.
Search asks OpenStreetMap for nearby restaurants, cafes, pubs and, at a park or resort, quick-service counters. For a search in the UK it also asks the Food Standards Agency for hygiene ratings. Those requests include the place you searched or your location if you tap Near me. They do not include your allergy profile.
On this website, SafePlate Plus is paid through Stripe. Stripe receives the email and card details you enter on their checkout page. SafePlate does not receive the card number. After Stripe confirms the payment, this browser stores the customer and subscription ids so Plus can stay unlocked on this device. Restoring Plus with a receipt email sends that email to Stripe and does not load an allergy profile. In the Google Play or App Store app, Google or Apple processes the subscription instead. The store purchase token is stored on this device. Stripe, Google, and Apple apply their own privacy terms to the payment.
You can export or delete the profile from the profile screen. Deleting removes it from this browser. Uninstalling the app removes data stored on the device.
SafePlate is guidance for eating out. It is not medical advice and it does not decide that a kitchen is allergen-free.
